Difference between Decaf and decaffeinated coffee beans
Decaffeinated and decaffeinated coffee beans are often used interchangeably. Unfortunately, there is indeed a difference. We also often use caffeine-free in the text, but unfortunately this is not actually possible. Officially it is decaffeinated coffee beans. This is because coffee beans can never be completely caffeine-free. So they are actually all decaf coffee beans. On average, there is approximately 3mg of caffeine in decaffeinated coffee beans. In a normal cup of coffee this is between 60 and 90 mg. So coffee beans are always decaf and not caffeine-free.
